![]() It has nothing to do with FOV btw, it's some messed up effect or camera setting that's causing it, not the FOV. No clue why some devs can't get these things right. I haven't played yet since I'm busy with things, but it definitely looks worrying in the picture he posted. Livinghell is claiming in WWZ it effects the whole screen unlike other games if i got him right. The curved view around the edges is to be expected when increasing FOV in games. Instead of just zooming out and widening your view, it makes it have a distinct curved effect near the edges of your view Originally posted by PhamTrinli:I've noticed a pronounced wall-eye effect if you increase the fov slider in first person mode. and I bought it on EPIC (never played) and on steam. Look a those lines, use a sheet of paper on the screen: they are straight independent of view angle, and don't bend ever, even when looking slightly down: I was asked how I can play Splitgate without nausea, with all teleports and so on, but feel it here: Splitgate uses standard rectiliniear projection. If you (generally feeling nause in this game) rotate in this corridor, you -sorry- will vomit on your screen. Look at this hall, at vertical lines of the windows: not a single straight line. ![]() Look the the bottom of the screenshot, the lines which are straight in any other game, bend like hell even on narrow FOV: Look at the right screen part on the border, FOV is not high, but column is extremely bent: I took my time to collect proofs for this unexplainale "feature": Not the whole screen moves as solid background when you rotate, but EVERYTHING on screen additionally bends/moves too, so your eye has no anchor-point for peripheral vision. There is not a single straight line in this game, that is not bend to left or right up/or down, and when you rotate, all lines bend in other directions. It uses at any FOV a fisheye perspective. This game doesn't utilize the standard rectilinear first person projection. I don't know if this method can be applied to other people, but at least if worked for me.Yes, this game induces monion sickness, even to viewers. I need to test this with other FPS games also (especially faster FPS games). So, in summary, when I want to play FPS game, I need to : Switch off the ceiling fan, make the room temperature a little hotter and let the sweat come out from my body. I was so happy and this is the first FPS game that I completed in my life. I continue doing the same method for several days and finally, last night I played for almost 3 hours (without any rest) and completed RE Village. It works!! I played another1.5 hours without any symptoms. To test this theory, I tried to play the game again the next day with the same condition (Ceiling fan switched off). I though probably this was the reason I didn't feel dizzy and nauseous. A little sweat came out from my body during my playthrough. When I played RE Village last week, the ceiling fan was switched off and the room temperature became hotter than usual. ![]() Every time I play a game, I always turn on the ceiling fan to make the room more cool and comfortable. I live in a tropical country which the average temperature 31-33 degree Celsius. So, what happen? I realized that during my playthrough, the ceiling fan was switched off. I didn't feel any symptoms! I played the game almost 2 hours and felt great. So, I inserted the disc and tried playing again. ![]() I didn't touch the game for while.until last week.įor some reason, last week I wanted to try this game again. Played for 30 minutes and stopped when the symptom appeared. I bought the game again (PS5 version) because I love this series. I still bought the game though and tried it, but the same symptom happens. So, when I heard that REVII will be an FPS game, I was quite disappointed because I cannot enjoy or even play it. So, I try to not touching that genre for quite some time.until RE Village. ![]() It's an FPS game.Įvery time I try to play it for more than 15-20 minutes, my head got dizzy and nauseous, and I need to rest for while (even took some medicine). During that time, there is one genre that I cannot play. I've been playing games for more than 30 years (mostly console/handheld games). ![]()
